and balanced coverage is crucial as Congress debates a radical
restructuring of the nation's health care system, and the broadcast
networks' top medical correspondents play a key role. But a review of
campaign finance records finds CBS’s Dr. Jon LaPook and NBC’s Dr. Nancy
Snyderman, as well as ABC's newly-hired Dr. Richard Besser, have
contributed to plenty of Democratic candidates, but never once to a
Republican. At the same time, Drs. Snyderman and LaPook, along with
Besser’s future ABC colleague, Dr. Tim Johnson, have showered the
liberal Obama health plan with fawning press.
